Dr. Jing Yuanreceived her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical and Health Outcomes Sciences with aconcentration on Pharmacoeconomics from the University of South Carolina in2018. Dr. Yuan has extensive experience in both academia and industry; she wasthe Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, she also worked at the bigmultinational pharmaceutical companies, such as Novartis and Johnson &Johnson. As a pharmacist by training, she is motivated to improve patient’s healthoutcomes and access to care, and her research therefore focuses oninvestigating the health outcomes and economic burdens associated with pharmaceuticalsor health services in the real-world. Her multidisciplinary research involveshealth outcomes research, health economics, epidemiology, and health policy.She also applied innovative analytical methods to address methodological issuesin the observational studies using big data. She has led and participatedresearch projects funded by NIH and CDC. She has authored two book chapters,published several peer-reviewed articles, and received multiple awards frominternational conferences, including Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), InternationalSociety for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and DrugInformation Association (DIA).
