School of Pharmacy, Fudan University (SPFDU) was first established as a special unit for pharmacy training at National Shanghai Medical College in 1936. Along with China's magnificent reform and development process, the school has always adhered to the motto of "Zheng Yi Ming Dao" and has taken "learning, teaching and research" as its own responsibility. It adopts a parallel system by provision of both general and elite education, emphasizing on training the best pharmaceutical professionals with strong innovation capability and excellent overall quality. Both basic and applied researches have been taken into account all along. After more than 80 years of development, the school has not only improved the quality of education and scientific research in all aspects, but also has accumulated rich experience and made great achievements in the fields of talent training and drug R&D. SPFDU has become a top-tier in China and world renowned pharmacy school, and has played important role in promoting the development of both academia and pharmaceutical industry.

  Nowadays, Shanghai is in the process of constructing a science and technology innovation center with global influence. With the advantages of comprehensive disciplines of Fudan University, SPFDU will focus on major national needs, strengthen the integration with life science and clinical medicine and actively strive for all kinds of social resources to impel the innovative drug R&D. The school will also make full use of the momentum of the development of Zhangjiang pharmaceutical valley, and work with various stakeholders to explore the "interconnected and win-win" working mechanism, so as to promote joint training, knowledge sharing and extra-curricular practice.
