Degree Programs

Ph.D. Program

Department of clinical pharmacy offers two kinds of Ph.D. programs. One is same as other departments in school of pharmacy and designed for highly motivated and qualified individuals who have got a master degree in relevant majors. The core areas of Ph.D. training in clinical pharmacy are 1) drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics; 2) pharmacogenomics. The candidate will be required to complete necessary and an independent research project. The other type of Ph.D. program is called “4+4” doctoral program of clinical pharmacy and only available for undergraduate students of clinical pharmacy from Fudan University. This “4+4” Ph.D program will prepare students for a career as a clinical pharmacist of high level who can provide clinical practice for rational use of drugs in hospitals.

Master Program

Department of clinical pharmacy offers four kinds of master programs. The first one is called Scientific Master Program which focuses on research training of the candidates. The duration if this program is 3 years. The second type is referred to Professional Master Program which includes training of both research and practice in clinical pharmacy. This program require shorter time, namely, 2.5 years. The third type of master program is referred to “4+2” master program of clinical pharmacy and specially designed for undergraduate students of clinical pharmacy from Fudan University. This “4+2” program emphasizes training of clinical pharmacy practice. But it also requires students to conduct some research. The fourth type of master program is named as “Drug Supervision-related laws in China”, which is a 3 years program mainly for training students in drug administration related topics.
