Dr. Xiaochun Dong got his bachelor degree from East China Normal University in 1997 and joined Fudan University as teacher assistant and then Lecturer. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in medicinal chemistry from Fudan University in 2007. From 2008-2009, he did postdoctoral training in University of Minnesota (U.S.A.). Since 2013, he became an associate professor at School of Pharmacy, Fudan University. His research expertise concerns medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, focusing on the design and synthesis of small molecule targeting of specific oncogenic signal transduction pathways such as Hedgehog signaling pathway. He has published 16 research papers on academic journals including Org Lett, Chem Comm, Bioorg Med Chem Lett, etc. He also filed more than 20 patent applications and 13 of them were granted.
