The medicinal chemistry discipline offers 19 undergraduate courses such as organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, drug design, and 14 graduate courses such as advanced organic chemistry, advanced medicinal chemistry, and the current progress on drug design. The two courses, named "drug design" and "medicinal chemistry", were selected as quality courses in Shanghai. In recent years, 4 textbooks have been published, two of which were selected as the national "11th Five-Year" plan teaching textbooks. The department won a first prize of Shanghai teaching achievement award and 2 third-position awards, and a national second-position teaching achievement award. In the past five years, the faculty members from the department won a special prize of "micro-course teaching contest", a first prize of "teaching ability contest" and a third prize of "teaching basic skills" in the teaching competition of young teachers from national colleges and universities.
