Dr. Yu Sun wasborn in Rizhao, Shandong, China in 1988. In 2011, he obtained his B.Sc. atFudan University. He then moved to Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC),Chinese Academy of Sciences for graduate study under the supervision of Prof.Ang Li, and received his Ph.D. in 2016. After a short stay in SIOC, he joinedProf. Amir H. Hoveyda’s group in Boston College as a postdoctoral fellow in2017. He started his independent career as an associate professor in school ofpharmacy, Fudan University in 2020. His research interest mainly focused on thetotal synthesis of structurally and biologically interesting natural products. He received Chinese Academy of Sciences President Excellence Award (2014) andSpecial Symposium Award-Roche and Royal Society of Chemistry Symposium (2013).He was also selected as one of Reaxys PhD Prize Finalists in 2016.
