The scientific research achievement of our School, “Research on brain tumor-targeted drug delivery”, won the Second Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award (2016) and the Second Prize of Excellent Achievements in Scientific Research in Universities (2016). This achievement was accomplished by Professor Weiyue Lu, Dr Changyou Zhan, Dr Chong Li, Professor Jun Chen and Professor Qizhi Zhang, Dr Cao Xie and Dr Xiaoli Wei.

The research group proposed the strategy of targeting the whole process of brain tumors and constructed a series of novel nanomedicines to across the barrier of brain tumors and improve treatment efficacy. 22 SCI papers including 5 ESI-highly cited papers and several papers remarked as the HOT paper or research achievements with high application potential were published. 2 National excellent doctoral dissertation awards were won. 6 Chinese patents were licensed. This achievement shed light on clinical treatment of brain tumor by targeted drug delivery.
