Dr. Wei Wu a PhD in 1999 from School of Pharmacy, West China University of Medical Sciences. In 2000, he joined School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and now holds a full professor position. He ever served his school as a vice dean. To reward his excellence in teaching and research, he was awarded a few honorary titles such as New Century Excellent Teachers of Ministry of Education, Shanghai Suguang Scholar and Shanghai Excellent Young Teachers of Universities. He is also listed in the Editorial Board of over ten professional journals including AAPS PharmSciTech, Archives of Pharmacal Research, Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research interest include nanoparticulate oral drug delivery systems and novel dosage forms and novel pharmaceutical technology. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles. His professional achievement is highlighted by the development of a new method to explore the in vivo fate of nanoparticles based on the water-quenching characteristics of a new kind of near-infrared fluorescent probes. He has also successfully developed over ten pharmaceutical products including multiple electrolytes and invert sugar injection, aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride powder, etc.
