Dr. Ai-Jun Hou is currently a Professor and vice Dean at School of Pharmacy, Fudan University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999. From 1999 to 2000, she did postdoctoral studies at Toho University, Japan. Thereafter, Dr. Hou joined the faculty of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University in 2000. She was promoted to Professor and vice Dean in 2007. From 2004 to 2005, she worked as a visiting scholar at University of Konstanz, Germany. Dr. Hou’s research interests focus on drug discovery and development from traditional Chinese medicine, with anti-cancer and anti-diabetes as particular targets.She is the recipient of some important awards, including winner of excellent young scientist fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2012, Shanghai Shu Guang Scholar in 2012, and New Century Excellent Talents award of the Ministry of Education of China in 2009.
