2018年8月21日下午，国家新药筛选中心主任兼国家化合物样品库主任、复旦大学药学院院长王明伟研究员在比利时访问了鲁汶大学—VIB研究所，受到所长Jo Bury博士、战略顾问Boerge Diderichsen博士和资深科学政策经理Lieve Ongena女士的热情接待。在介绍了双方的基本情况和发展目标后，王明伟分别与肿瘤生物学中心主任Diether Lambrechts教授、Jean-Christophe Marine教授和脑与疾病研究中心主任Patrik Verstreken教授就在相关研究领域开展合作交流进行了广泛和深入的探讨。傍晚，王明伟会晤了老朋友、国际著名肿瘤生物学家Peter Carmeliet教授，并与他的助手Mieke Dewerchin博士、Luc Schoonjans博士和Guy Eelen博士详细磋商了一项在研合作课题的实施计划。
Dr. Ming-Wei Wang visits VIB-KU Leuven in Belgium
In the afternoon of August 21, 2018, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University visited VIB-KU Leuven in Belgium. He was warmly received by Dr. Jo Bury (Managing Director), Dr. Boerge Diderichsen (Strategic Advisor) and Dr. Lieve Ongena (Senior Science Policy Manager). After exchange of basic facts and development goals of both parties, Dr. Wang held separate meetings with Professor Diether Lambrechts (Science Director) and Professor Jean-Christophe Marine (Science Director) from Center for Cancer Biology as well as Professor Patrik Verstreken (Science Director) from Center for Brain & Disease Research, exploring potential collaboration opportunities in related fields. In the early evening, Dr. Wang met with his old friend and internationally renowned cancer biologist, Peter Carmeliet, and discussed in detail with his associates, Drs. Mieke Dewerchin, Luc Schoonjans and Guy Eelen, relative to the execution plan of an ongoing joint research project.
