2018年6月5日下午，正在韩国首尔出席国际学术会议的复旦大学药学院院长、国家新药筛选中心/国家化合物样品库主任王明伟研究员会晤了延世大学生物技术系权軲玎（Ho Jeong Kwon）教授，和他深入讨论一篇研究论文的修改和投稿事宜。尔后，王明伟与新西兰奥克兰分子医学系教授、复旦大学药学院国际兼职教授Peter Shepherd博士见面，着重回顾双边合作课题的近期进展和切磋2019年皇后镇分子生物学（上海）会议的筹备工作。傍晚，王明伟应邀参加聚会，与英国邓迪大学校长Pete Downes爵士、《生物化学杂志》主编David Carling教授、日本札幌医科大学医学部长三浦哲嗣教授、日本冈崎国立生理学研究所西田基宏教授、香港大学李嘉诚医学院生物医学学院锺金淑子教授、韩国仁济大学整合生物医学系韩辰教授和金炯圭副教授会商年内在中国召开《生物化学杂志》专题论坛的设想。
6日上午，王明伟研究员与专程前来首尔见面的大邱庆北科学技术研究院脑与认知科学系俞圣云（Seong-Woon Yu）教授举行会谈。俩人通过互联网与复旦大学药学院陈瑛教授连线分享一项合作研究课题的最新进展，并就后继推进计划做出部署。
Dr. Ming-Wei Wang meets with a group of internationally renowned scientists or collaborators
In the afternoon of June 5, 2018, Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) met with Professor Ho Jeong Kwon from Department of Biotechnology, Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea where they are attending international academic conferences. They discussed in detail relative to revision and submission of a research paper resulted from their collaboration. Thereafter, Dr. Wang met with Professor Peter Shepherd from Department of Molecular Medicine, University of Auckland (New Zealand) to discuss the recent progresses made in their collaborative program and the preparation of 2019 Queenstown Molecular Biology Meetings in Shanghai. Dr. Shepherd also holds an international adjunct professorship at Fudan School of Pharmacy.
In the early evening, Dr. Wang was invited to attend a social gathering where he met with Sir Pete Downes (Principal and Vice-Chancellor, University of Dundee, U.K.), Professor David Carling (Editor-in-Chief, The Biochemical Journal), Professor Tetsuji Miura (Dean, School of Medicine, Sapporo Medical University, Japan), Professor Motohiro Nishida (National Institute for Physiological Sciences, Okazaki, Japan), Professor Sookja Kim Chung (School of Biomedical Sciences, Li KA Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, China), Professor Jin Han and Associate Professor Hyoung Kyu Kim (Department of Integrated Biomedical Science, Inje University, Korea). They discussed the proposition of holding a Biochemical Journal featured forum in China this year.
In the morning of June 6, Dr. Wang met with Professor Seong-Woon Yu from Department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST). Through internet connection with Professor Ying Chen of Fudan School of Pharmacy, they shared the latest progresses made in a collaborative research project and agreed to the follow-up study plans. Professor Yu made a special one-day trip from Daegu to Seoul for this meeting.
