2017年2月3日下午，复旦大学药学院院长、国家新药筛选中心主任兼国家化合物样品库主任王明伟研究员在美国加州圣迭戈市与专程赴约的北卡大学教堂山分校药学院（Eshelman School of Pharmacy, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UNC）分管全球合作事务的副院长Stephen F. Eckel副教授举行会谈，详细商讨利用双方的资源、经验、品牌和优势联合办学，共同培养（临床）药学专业博士的思路、前景、挑战和方案。在两个多小时的讨论中，双方对自去年五月以来的频繁接触和交流进展表示满意并期待着尽快进入实质性合作阶段。
Dr. Ming-Wei Wang meets Dr. Stephen Eckel of UNC at Chapel Hill in San Diego
In the afternoon of February 3, 2017, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library met with Associate Professor Stephen F. Eckel, Associate Dean for Global Engagement of Eshelman School of Pharmacy, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, (UNC), in San Diego, California, USA. Dr. Eckel made a special trip to attend this meeting where a two-hour long in-depth discussion relative to initiating a joint training program for Pharm.D., by use of resource, experience, reputation and strength of both parties was conducted. Topics covered included proposition, prospect, challenges and plans. They expressed their mutual content regarding the outcomes of frequent contacts and communication progress since May last year and expect a substantial collaboration before long.
