2016年6月15日下午，复旦大学药学院院长王明伟研究员在美国北卡州Durham市访问了杜克大学药学院药理和肿瘤生物学系，受到其90年代早期在Ligand医药公司的同事、系主任Donald P. McDonnell教授和80年代早期他在加州大学洛杉矶分校医学院研修时的室友、著名药理学家王小凡教授的热情接待。他们一起回顾了数十年的珍贵友谊并就在新时期开展双边合作达成一致。王院长邀请他们方便时访问上海的提议得到了积极的反应。
Professor Ming-Wei Wang visits Duke University School of Medicine in U.S.A.
In the afternoon of June 15, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, visited Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, Duke University School of Medicine located at Durham, North Carolina (U.S.A.). He was warmly received by Professor Donald P. McDonnell (Department Chairman and Dr. Wang’s former colleague at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Inc. during the early 1990’s) and Professor Xiaofan Wang (a renowned pharmacologist and Dr. Wang’s roommate during the early 1980’s when he was studying at UCLA School of Medicine). The three happily recalled many fond memories resulted from such a long friendship and agreed on setting up a bilateral collaboration scheme. Dr. Wang invited both to visit Shanghai when convenient which was positively responded.
