作为药学院80周年院庆系列学术报告的组成部分和庆祝复旦大学成立111周年，2016年5月17日下午，澳大利亚墨尔本大学副校长Richard Strugnell教授（负责研究生教育和国际科研合作）应邀来我院进行学术交流。期间，他与同行的David Huang教授（沃尔特伊丽莎医学研究所）亲切会晤了即将前往墨尔本开展暑期研修的本科生三年级韩佳弥、王诗雨、陶瑾琰和袁铮等四位同学。
Strugnell教授目前任职Doherty研究所，是国际著名的微生物学家，他以“细菌代谢途径的‘本质’”为题给我院师生作了学术报告，受到热烈反响。尔后，澳洲嘉宾在付伟教授和刘瑜博士的陪同下参观了国家化合物样品库、计算机药物辅助设计中心和药物制剂中试实验室，并与王明伟院长、陆伟跃书记和孙逊副院长交谈深化合作等事宜。
Dr. R. Strugnell of the University of Melbourne visits Fudan School of Pharmacy
As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Fudan School of Pharmacy and 111th anniversary of Fudan University, Professor Richard Strugnell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Graduate and International Research) of the University of Melbourne visited School of Pharmacy, Fudan University in the afternoon of May 17, 2016. During which, he and Professor David Huang from Walter+Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research met with four 3rd year undergraduate students (Jiami Han, Shiyu Wang, Jinyan Tao and Zheng Yuan) who will soon enroll in a summer internship program at Melbourne.
Professor Strugnell is an internationally renowned microbiologist presently working at the Doherty Institute. His invited lecture entitled “‘Essentiality' of bacterial metabolic pathways” was enthusiastically received by the audience. Accompanied by Drs. Wei Fu and Yu Liu, the honourable Australian guests toured the Chinese National Compound library, Computer-assisted Drug Design Center and pilot drug formulation laboratory. They discussed the intention of expanding bilateral collaboration with Drs. Ming-Wei Wang (Dean), Yuewei Lu (CPC Committee Secretary) and Xun Sun (Vice Dean, Research) thereafter.
