2016年3月3日，正在加尔各答出席“化学生物学和药物发现国际论坛”的复旦大学药学院院长、国家新药筛选中心主任王明伟研究员在会歇期间分别会晤了美国Tufts大学文理学院化学系主任Krishna Kumar教授、美国Emory大学医学院化学生物学发现中心主任傅海安教授、台湾国立彰化师范大学科技研究总中心主任李汉文教授、美国化学学会组稿编辑Jitesh Soares博士和印度化学生物学研究所博士生Sourav Chatterjee先生。他和Kumar教授讨论了在胰高血糖素样肽-1改良配体功能方面开展合作研究的意向；与傅海安教授磋商了2017年皇后镇分子生物学（上海）会议的筹备工作；向李汉文教授介绍了复旦大学药学院80周年院庆的各类学术活动；和Jitesh Soares博士探讨了创建ACS Translational Pharmacology学刊的动议以及与Sourav Chatterjee先生商讨了在其毕业后来华开展博士后研究的安排。
Dr. Ming-Wei Wang meets several chemical biologists at Kolkata
On March 3, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director, the National Center for Drug Screening who is attending the “International Symposium on Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery” at Kolkata, met with Professor Krishna Kumar (Chair, Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Sciences, Tufts University, U.S.A.), Professor Haian Fu (Director, Chemical Biology Discovery Center, Emory University School of Medicine, U.S.A.), Professor Hon-Man Lee (Director, Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology, National Changhua University of Education in Taiwan), Dr. Jitesh Soares (Acquisition Editor, American Chemical Society, U.S.A.) and Mr. Sourav Chatterjee (Ph.D. candidate, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology at Kolkata). He discussed with Professor Kumar about the intention of setting up a collaborative research project on functional studies of modified glucagon-like peptide-1 ligands; with Professor Fu on the preparation of the 2017 Queenstown Molecular Biology Meetings in Shanghai; with Professor Lee about various academic activities associated with the 80th anniversary celebration of Fudan School of Pharmacy; with Dr. Soares relative to the proposition of establishing a new journal - ACS Translational Pharmacology; and with Mr. Chatterjee concerning his desire of conducting postdoctoral research in China upon graduation.
